This is dirty, but did anybody notice that trump looked like he was so excited by his tariffs he was jerking off to/on them? That’s what it looked like to me!

Still no definitive approach/plan to enforcing the new tariffs even after 48 hours of announcing it. Maybe the recession talk has some truth to it.

If you look at history President John Quincy Adams used the same tariffs to build industry in the early U.S. and he was extremely unpopular for it (he lost that election) but after that tariffs never worked except on specific occasions and caused the Great Recession. It doesn’t work in a global economy!

I also believe it's more deeper than what it used to be. Now people are interested in a digital anonymous currency that the government have little to no control over. These are important factors that make extreme tariffs effort almost impossible for all parties.

I never realized that American consumers have been thinking for decades that they were being pillaged, taken for suckers and raped while buying inexpensive foreign made clothes, shoes, cars, appliances, computers, phones, furniture, drapes, carpets, sheets and everything in the kitchen.

Why did they buy them if they thought that way?

I actually don't think it's just an american way of thinking. It's just simple consumerism and unopposed level of capitalism. The main concern here is the fact that we're slowly moving away from the gray line of free trade because of impossible level of greed.
